Music instruments

Hi there, I'm a professional musician based in Kennington south London offering Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Ukulele lessons covering a wide range of styles but specialising in all things folk. For more detailed information on my teaching please have a look at my website www.alistairmusic.com. Also you can listen to some of music here as well www.alistairmackenzie.co.uk I've been playing for over 14 years now, and currently teach people of all ages (I have a CRB check) and abilities (from complete beginners to advanced). You can come to my house for lessons, or I can hop on my bicycle and come to you for lessons. I'm a friendly chap, with a flexible and fun approach to my music teaching. You'll never be bored in my lessons, and I tailer each lesson specifically for the individual student. Whether you're a complete beginner, or you can already play and would like help with playing a particular style or you want to learn how to improvise and write songs - I'm your man! Here's some details on what I can offer on the different instruments: - Guitar (acoustic and electric): folk and bluegrass, finger picking, open tunings, celtic, rock pop, jazz blues - Banjo: clawhammer/frailing, old time, bluegrass, folk - Mandolin: bluegrass, folk, celtic, old time, blues, - Ukulele: folk, pop, rock, jazz, hawaiian, George Formby style... I also teach songwriting and other instruments like the Mandola and Bouzouki. Prices: Lessons at my house are £25 an hour, but I can offer discounts for lessons paid for in advance. I can travel for lessons, however the price would be higher and dependent on travel time. Group Lessons and workshops: As well as the one to one lessons, I regularly do group teaching and workshops. I look forward to hearing from you soon, and if you have any questions I'll be happy to chat. Cheers Alistair PS.
