Barnes upright piano (Osbert model)Repolished and rebuilt in London, Essex for sale

This beautiful-sounding piano was made by the well-known British firm, W H Barnes. It is slightly larger than a mini and slightly smaller than a medium-size upright, measuring 140 cm wide by 116 cm high by 54 cm deep. This is sometimes referred to as a studio sized instrument. The handsome dark mahogany case has been completely stripped and repolished in French polish to a satin finish. The action has been fully reconditioned, (i.e. the centre-pins on which the parts turn have been replaced, the hammers refaced and the tapes renewed). This Osbert by Barnes upright also has been finely regulated, meaning that the notes are even to the touch, up-and-down the keyboard, and that they are both responsive and sensitive. The tone is mellow deep. but clear. It has been tuned to concert pitch, (440 A). There are 3 years left on the guarantee, (parts and labour), and I am in contact with movers who will deliver it to a London address for £70, and who will give it a free tuning after delivery.
