Andy Warhol 'Banana' Original lithograph on wove paper, c1986 Edition of 1,000 Published by Museum of art, Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh Size of visible print: 16.2" x 12" (inches) Size of mount: 19.7 x 15.7" (inches) Condition: mint (unopened since publication) NOTE: The Carnegie Museum of art is based in Warhol's home city of Pittsburgh. It holds the world's largest collection of original works by Warhol. The lithograph/mount comes in its original sealed plastic sleeve and has not been opened since publication in 1986. A rare, highly collectible lithograph in mint, unopened condition. Recommended as an excellent financial investment. LITHOGRAPHY Please note that a lithograph is not just an ordinary print. It is the most complicated and highest quality form of printing. Put simply, each colour is printed as a separate plate, meaning that the colour can be matched as closely as possible to the original colour used by the artist. Lithography is rarely used today because it is a far more expensive process. You can google 'lithography' for a more in-depth explanation. Postage: I can post the item to UK and overseas buyers.
