We have a very large, bright double room to rent in a four bedroom house in Stoke Newington, just a minutes walk to all the bars and cafes on Church Street and to Clissold Park. The room available is the massive attic bedroom which has a queen size double bed, ensuite bathroom with toilet and sink, plenty of wardrobe space and french doors that open out so its lovely and light. The house is a Victorian conversion, set over three levels, with a small patio at the back - perfect for bbqs / storing bikes etc. It has a large lounge/ dining room, a modern kitchen with washing machine and then french doors opening onto the patio. There is one large bathroom with a shower and bath, as well as a separate toilet used by the other housemates. About us - we are 3 girls in our mid / late 20s. Two of us met when we first moved into the house two years ago, and the third lovely lady joined us in April. We get on really well so the house is very friendly and homely (we think!). Two of us work in fashion and one in digital media. We like all the normal things - cooking, wine, going to the pub, staying in and watching crappy tv and generally just having a chat, but we also have our own lives so there is a good balance. We are looking for another friendly and sociable person who wants to be part of our lovely home (rather than someone who is just looking for somewhere to live). We want to keep the house nice for everyone, so generally you would be a clean, tidy and considerate housemate. While we love making the most of weekends, we also want someone who is respectful of a bit of peace and quiet on a week night. Also, non-smokers only please! You would be required to sign the 12 month tenancy agreement and pay the £160 admin fee. A damage deposit of £975 is also payable. Parking is also available with a permit. Rent is £859 per month plus bills (which are max £130 per month (including cleaner)). The move in date is ideally 27 September, but this can be quite flexible (our flatmate who is moving out is very sad to be leaving but is heading off for adventures in Australia).
