The flat is actually a maisonette, with hallway, kitchen, living room and toilet on the ground floor and the 3 bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. It's been recently refurbished (with the exception of the kitchen cupboards which are a little dated but do the job) and repainted since the last tenants. The kitchen is large and has lots of storage and 2 fridges. The living room is very spacious and has a great balcony running the full length of it. The bedroom that's for rent comes with a double wardrobe, chest of drawers and half-size desk. There's currently a single bed in there (which is up for sale if you're interested) but the room will easily fit a double bed plus the other furniture. The property is on the Four Squares Estate, an area which is undergoing regeneration and lots of investment from the council. There are currently building works going on during weekdays from approximately 8am to 4pm, as part of the regeneration works. The works are external and there is scaffolding up at the moment, but we're expecting that to come down in October. The flat is a 5 minute walk to Bermondsey tube station, 2 minute walk to Southwark Park and 20 min walk to Shad Thames/Tower Bridge. There are also good bus links and I cycle to work in central London. Aside from the week day building works, it's a pretty quiet area. Rent is £675 per month and bills come to approx. £96 per month. A £625 deposit is required and there'll be a £35+VAT reference fee and a £100 letting agent admin fee. You'll be living with two girls - me, a 30 year old accountant, and my flatmate, a 27 year old mature student, who are both Christians. We're looking for a housemate who is clean and tidy and would enjoy sharing dinner and hanging out sometimes and making the flat a home (but not a party zone!).
