Hello! House hunters We are looking for a housemate for our houseshare in Camberwell. We have a double room becoming available for £650pcm (plus bills). There are currently five of us in the house, 3 guys and 2 girls, and we're looking for a sixth person to come in. Currently we’re quite a diverse bunch and would like to find someone who is creative, open and life-loving to become part of the house, and add some colour to the mix :-) Usually, if not out and about, we spend our evenings relaxing in the lounge, catching up and sharing meals. We share cooking, so someone who is keen to experiment with food is a bonus. House – The house is a secluded converted coach house with three spacious double bedrooms in the main house and two self contained double-bedded studio flats in the extensive rear garden. There is a large shared living space in the main house along with kitchen and conservatory. There are lots of windows that keep the house filled with natural light, and a working fireplace to warm and brighten those cold and dark winter evenings. Outside there are gardens both at the front and rear of the house in which we are growing vegetables and herbs, hosting bbq's, table tennis games and outdoor cinema screenings. The room - One of the downstairs bedroom with view on to our secluded front garden. It is a generous double bedroom with lots of space. Area – The house is located on Grove Park, a quiet and green street. We have great and varied transport links: Denmark Hill is our closest station within 5 minutes walking distance where you can jump on the overground to the City, East London or take trains to Clapham Junction, Victoria and Blackfriars. We are also close to Peckham Rye (10 minutes walk) where you can catch a train to London Bridge for a short ride of 5 minutes, and also East Dulwich stations (7 minutes walk) with links to south London. Loads of buses set off from Camberwell Green, and Pekham Rye. We have been enjoying the amenities of Camberwell and Peckham for great food joints, cool bars, fruit and veg markets and good value Peckham multiplex cinema ;-) The house also comes with a key that gives us access to a secluded community woodlands located just behind the house. When – The room is available from September 2014 Anyone looking to settle in a house with housemates that have communal ethos is welcome! Cost – The rent will be £650pcm (excluding bills). The bills are likely to be around £50pcm including council tax and wireless internet. There is a communal kitty from which we pay for bills and buy groceries for meals as we try to cook for each other during the week, and eat and socialize together in the main house.
