Edirol M-16DX Digital Mixer By Roland (OPEN TO OFFERS)

£130 or nearest offer Edirol M-16DX Digital Mixer By Roland!!! Selling an Edirol M-16DX Digital Mixer. If you are here then you must know what you are looking at! This classic mixer is compact, portable and versatile, and has a clear and transparent sound and features up to 24bit 96kHz sound processing, Room Acoustic Control and Finalize FX. There not many digital mixers that have analogue style controls, so this makes it unique. With its USB port, all you have to do is plug it into your PC/Mac and record up to 16 individual channels of audio, plus stereo main mix, using the DAW/software of your choice, with up to 24bit 96kHz sound processing. You can use it as a control surface for various popular DAWs such as Cubase, Logic Pro, Sonar, GarageBand, Ableton Live, and Digital Performer to name a few. Rolands website has some great 'Workshop' guides to help you setup the M-16DX with your DAW, plus other useful guides. Alternatively, you can connect it to your audio interface/sound card/instruments via its digital connections. This unit has the Version 2.00 OS upgrade, improving its DAW capabilities, and adding extra Scene memory locations, etc. These do not turn up very often, and as you know, there are very few digital mixers at this price, with these sorts of features, if any, so buy it while you can. Some of the specs of the M-16DX are: Up to 24bit 96kHz sound processing 4 Mic Preamps with gain controls 4 mono mic/line inputs and Hi-Z on 2 channels 4 stereo line inputs Compressors on 2 mic/line channels Low Cut on mic/line channels 3 band EQ on mic/line channels and on 4 stereo channels, with adjustable Mid Frequency and Q Pan/Balance on mic/line channels and on 4 stereo channels 2 Aux send controls on mic/line channels and on 4 stereo channels FX Send controls on mic/line channels and on 4 stereo channels Solo/Pre Fader on mic/line channels and on 4 stereo channels Mute/ALT FX processor Finalize FX for mastering Scene memories Room Acoustic Control(automically compensates for the acoustics of your room and speakers) Graphic Equalizer 2 track/tape out RCA 2 track/line in/Aux Return RCA Control Room out Headphone out Main out Digital out on Coaxial and Optical(both can be used at the same time) Digital in on Coaxial and Optical USB I/O(can send up to 18 channels of audio to your DAW of choice) 2 Aux Sends 2 Aux Returns(1 via phones and 1 via phones and phonos) Mini jack Aux Return Stereo Alternative Out +48v Phantom power Level controls on all channels Various monitoring options The unit is in good condition and OK working order(read notes). Some blemishes to casing, the top panel is in good overall condition. The included item(s) are: Original Roland PSB-1U UK power supply Connection cable(to connect the I/O Module to the Mix Controller) The manual can be downloaded from Rolands website. Note: 1. The Aux Return Channel 16 does not work when a cable is plugged into the jack socket and/or the mini jack socket on the back of the Mixer. It does work perfectly on the I/O Module, so you can still use that channel. 2. The sound of the main out gradually decreases. It stays raised when all channels have their level controls turned all the way up as far as I can tell. When their levels are set to minimum, then the output level starts to fall. When you turn or tap the main output control(which is looser than the others for some stange reason) the sound goes back to what level you have set it, and then starts to decrease again(unless all the channel levels are raised(as best I know of). This might be an easy fix, there is no way I can tell because I have no knowledge of electronics. The second fault "somehow" developed sometime after I sold it, and was returned because of this. I have described this the best that I can. If you are happy, and understand what has been described, get yourself a bargain. Other than that, all else works fine, if you keep the channels raised, you can adjust the levels on your devices that are connected. Thanks for looking
