£45 Solid oak vintage/shabby chic bureau/ writing desk 1930's/40's in London, Essex for sale

Beautiful, heavy and elegant old oak writing bureau most probably from the 30s but definitely first half of the 20th century. Very clean lines and wonderful original handles and fixtures made in England. It is in need of a bit of TLC (see pictures) but a simple sanding and re-varnish or perhaps some Farrow & Ball style paint would make this a really beautiful edition to any home. The side shelves still have the original pins which slot in and can moved to create space for smaller or larger objects as needed. A couple of things worth mentioning are that there are no keys for the bureau, and the pull down desk isn't perfectly flat when pulled down. The leather writing inlay is coming loose too. Again, all very simple things to fix for those who love the superior quality of furniture from this era. Apart from some other small/ hardly noticeable nicks appropriate to its age, this really is a wonderful vintage piece the likes of which they don't make any more.
